What if the tension between opposites is the most fertile ground for creation, a place where definitions dissolve and new languages emerge?
Curated by Ariel Rom Cohen

Where Edges Meet at Corridor Contemporary invites viewers into a liminal space – a threshold where movement between worlds, materials, and ideas becomes the core of artistic exploration. Here, edges are no longer boundaries but zones of dialogue, potential, and redefinition. The six participating artists – Alec DeMarco, Asaf Gam Hacohen, Alejandro Goldberg, Nirit Takele, Shayan Rose Bensira and Edit Ben Gida – each operate at distinct frontiers of artistic practice. Yet, they are united by a shared pursuit: the refusal to settle within fixed categories. Instead, they dwell in the in-between – that fragile moment where opposites collide and something entirely new takes shape.
Alejandro Goldberg navigates the space between childlike simplicity and sophisticated painterly awareness, crafting colorful images that appear playful yet resonate with emotional depth.
Nirit Takele paints bold figures inspired by Ethiopian heritage, using sculptural brushstrokes and vibrant palettes. Her work deconstructs notions of race, gender, and beauty through a lens that is both personal and political. Alec DeMarco dissolves reality into abstraction, transforming spaces, figures, and memories into fluid compositions that evoke form without defining it. Edit Ben Gida merges tradition with technology, creating hybrid portraits born from a dialogue between classical oil painting and artificial intelligence, where the organic meets the digital, like a jewel revealing futuristic identities.
Asaf Gam Hacohen deconstructs and reconstructs spatial realities through a unique blend of photography and digital manipulation, placing the viewer simultaneously inside and outside the depicted environment. Shayan Rose Ben Sira’s work expresses a dialogue between the raw and the refined, between untamed nature and meticulous human craftsmanship.
Where Edges Meet is not merely about contrasts – it is about the creative friction that arises when boundaries blur. It invites us to abandon clear definitions and immerse ourselves in an artistic experience where material, technique, genre, and meaning remain fluid and ever evolving. Here, edges are not limits but launch points – gateways to new perspectives, where opposing worlds don’t just coexist, but fuse into a multi-layered, dynamic reality.
